Deep pot holes!

Sent to Northamptonshire Highways less than a minute later. ref: 4326981.

2 deep pot holes close by to each other. Terrible when turning the corner on to rockingham road! Hopefully my tyre isnt bust because of this.

  • Investigation: Completed (Defect Found), Defect Repair: Not Started - Regarding this section of Welland Vale, we can confirm that the carriageway defects that meet the investigatory level for repairs, have work scheduled to resolve them. This should be completed within six months’ time. Please be assured that you will receive an update once repairs are concluded. We usually find these defects are tended to within 13 weeks.

  • This pothole was perviously reported under another (earlier) report that included photographs. A temporary repair was completed (marked with yellow paint saying "temp"). This temporary repair lasted less than a couple of weeks and has completely failed. The two pot-holes now make one giant pot hole, with numerous others around them. Parts of the sub-base course are visible across the road where they have been ejected from the pot hole.

    Given the rapid degradation of the entire junction and failed temporary repairs, the entire junction needs looked at by the local authority.

  • Investigation: Completed (Defect Found), Defect Repair: Not Started - Regarding the pot hole on Welland Vale Road, we can confirm that the site has been inspected, with some defects being identified. Works will be undertaken by Thermal Road Repairs team no later than 20/09/23. For updates refer to FMS-4326981-1.
