Numerous potholes on roundabout

Sent to Northamptonshire Highways less than a minute later. ref: 4407005.

The potholes here are numerous, deep unavoidable as you are going round the roundabout, particularly on the side nearest the storage units. I reported them a couple of months ago, nothing has been done and they have worsened a lot since then.

    I could not avoid hitting the massive pot hole on the Alan Ponds roundabout and damaged my car to the sum of £188.39.

  • Investigation: Completed (Defect Found) - We have inspected this location and raised a works ticket that will be completed within the next 6 months.

    We make our decision to repair a road based on a number of factors including the location, the road category and the best way to spend the funds we have available to us, with our priority being on safety for all road users. This does mean that some roads will take priority over others and we are not able to fix every report that comes in to us.

    These pot holes have been reported on several occasions and, as per my photo's, they are now deeper than 80mm. It is my view that "Within 6 months" is not not an appropriate response and I request that this matter be escalated? I am sending these photo's and my thoughts to the Portfolio holder and leader of WNC.

  • I can't believe this roundabout has still not been resurfaced, it is in dreadful condition.
