Bus stop old, ruined

Reported via mobile in the Shelter Damaged category anonymously at 17:27, Mon 17 April 2023

Sent to Northamptonshire Highways less than a minute later. ref: 4452320.

Mold all growing all on the seats, glass everywhere, all the paint is coming off. Windows smashed and broken. There are 2 brand new wooden bus stops on the new estate at the top of the road if this bus stop was updated for a new one it would stop youths coming to the bus stop to destroy it.

  • Investigation: Completed (Scheduled Maintenance) - Good morning. Thank you for reporting this. I have instructed our Control Hub to inspect the site and make safe. I will add the bus shelter to our Maintenance List to be repaired. However, we have a significant back log of bus shelters across the County in need of repair or replacement, so I suspect there will be a significant delay before this work can be carried out, for which I apologies. I would think the bus shelters on the new estate were put in by the developers as part of the agreement. Yours sincerely, David Chambers

  • As of today this bus stop has not been looked at. Can you please clarify that the roof of this bus stop is not asbestos as it looks like it is and breaking up. And potential danger to public. Awaiting your reply.
