Pothole ripped my tyre at 1.00pm on 22/4/2023
Reported via desktop in the Potholes / Highway Condition category anonymously at 18:28, Saturday 22 April 2023
Sent to Northamptonshire Highways less than a minute later. ref: 4474481.
I was approaching the Tesco store from the roundabout and started to drive along Turnells Mill Lane when I hit a large pothole and ripped my tyre. There was a lot of traffic and so I was unable to photograph the pothole, I did photograph my flat tyre and I've have to pay over £200 to have a new tyre fitted. Looking at the Street Doctor reports, I can see that I am not the only unlucky person to have suffered a ripped tyre. I would like to claim compensation for the cost of replacing a previously perfectly good tyre. Unfortunately, due to the high volume of traffic on that particular road, I don't feel that it would be safe for me to take a photograph of the pothole in order to substantiate my claim. I do, however, have a photograph of my flat tyre and of course, the bill for the replacement tyre. I will ring the Northampton 'emergency ' number on Monday .
