Gate difficult to open and close because it's dropped
Sent to Northamptonshire Highways less than a minute later. ref: 4513803.
This new gate has already become difficult to open or close-it requires lifting up whilst holding up the latch handle because the gate has dropped on it's hinges. This means that two hands and maybe a foot is needed to operate the gate - it can't be done from a bike saddle. On closing the gate latch element hits the post latch bluntly on the front and requires lifting into the latch itself - again needing two hands. Despite being new it does not comply with British Standards that are designed to ensure disabled access and now it's become even more difficult.

The gate will not latch shut without lifting. The simplest solution would be to remove the latch entirely as the self closing system holds the gate shut anyway.
