Sent to Northamptonshire Highways less than a minute later. ref: 4548809.

This has been here for 2 days. it was difficult to pass before the second bale was placed but now it is dangerous to exit onto the road

  • The old bale has been moved closer to the road and new bale been placed next to it resulting in little clearance and having to duck to get under the signs to access the bridleway. The required width as dictated by Highways England is 2 metres and this is far from 2 metres, more 50 cms!!!!

  • Investigation: Completed (Defect Found), Defect Repair: Not Started - We can confirm that the hay bales at this location will be removed. 2 wooden posts will be installed at an appropriate width to allow adequate access for horse riders whilst preventing illegal access by vehicles. This work will be undertaken within the next 6 weeks
