Pothole in road outside 3 Plumtree Avenue Wellingborough

Sent to Northamptonshire Highways less than a minute later. ref: 4574492.

The ‘fillet’ around one side of a manhole cover in the road has broken into several largish pieces leaving a hole.

  • Investigation: Completed (Defect Found), Defect Repair: Not Started - Regarding this section of Plumtree Avenue, we can confirm that the carriageway defects that meet the investigatory level for repairs, have work scheduled to resolve them. This should be completed within six months’ time. Please be assured that you will receive an update once repairs are concluded. We usually find these defects are tended to within 13 weeks.

  • This defect has still not been fixed yet but a pothole less than 100m away was repaired. Surely the two defects could have been dealt with at the same time to save money by only having one visit.
