Horrific pothole broke my wheel
Reported via desktop in the Potholes / Highway Condition category anonymously at 19:14, Thu 25 May 2023
Sent to Northamptonshire Highways less than a minute later. ref: 4597357.
Roads are not fit for purpose - hit a 6-7-inch deep pothole with particularly sharp trailing edge here on Monday 22nd May, at under NSL speeds, and was deep/sharp enough to shatter my wheel and ruin my tyre.
Inner rim on wheel has bent where I couldn't avoid the pothole, rim has also been ripped open, tyre no longer retains air. New wheels/tyres required - will be putting in a claim as pothole has been identified but NOT fixed, unacceptable.
