Investigating
Jurassic Way bridleway, (route nos. ED17 & ED3).
Reported via desktop in the Gate - Damaged/ Missing category by Northamptonshire Highways at 12:31, Fri 2 June 2023
Sent to Northamptonshire Highways less than a minute later. ref: 4623232.
The gate is too low to open on a big horse and also it’s very awkward and heavy to open in general whilst on horseback. I nearly had an accident with a fast car coming past me on the A45 as was trying to close it and it was taking some time to do this. Would be helpful with an equestrian friendly handle

An additional issue is that the farmer needs to be reminded of the legal requirement to re-instate the Jurassic Way footpath/bridleway that has, as per previous years, been ploughed and seeded across with, currently, no attempt at restoration or identification of the location of this right of way.

Still no sign of any restoration. Has the farmer been informed?
