Sent to Northamptonshire Highways less than a minute later. ref: 4624104.

Trees are dripping sticky stuff all over the place. It is ruining our front gardens, cars, House doors & windows. Getting on the bottom of our shoes and being walked into thee house. Other trees in Desborough have been pruned but these have been left for some reason

  • Investigation: Completed (No Action Necessary) - North Northamptonshire Highways do not undertake tree works to facilitate the prevention of leaf litter, seed or sap drop in gardens or footpaths. Sap is a sticky substance that’s produced by aphids feeding on the leaves of the tree and there is no practical treatment to prevent this.
