Tree located on verge between No 5 & 7 Nasmith Avenue
Reported via desktop in the Restricted Visibility / Overgrown / Overhanging category by Viorel Suleapa at 20:47, Friday 2 June 2023
Sent to Northamptonshire Highways less than a minute later. ref: 4625377.
This tree located in front of my front parking and pigeons consistently while standing on this big branch that overhangs release their droppings over my car, resulting in my car consistently being covered in bird dropping all around the year, as per attached pictures, the big branch that overhangs needs to be not only prunned (as this was done last year, with no real result) but cut properly.
Thank you for reporting a fault. Officers will now investigate the concerns and this may take up to 5 working days. If you believe that your concerns are urgent then please phone us.

Investigation: Completed (Highways to Monitor, Routine Inspection Programme) - Regarding the vegetation adjacent to Nasmith Avenue, we have conducted a site visit and can confirm that there are no immediate safety concerns relating to this issue that warrant further action at this time. As the vegetation is not causing a safety issue with the highway user, no further action will be taken. Trees provide an important habitat for birds. North Northamptonshire Highways will not cut down trees or prune to prevent bird mess. Pruning is not a solution because birds will continue to perch in the pruned tree and foul anything beneath them.
