After visiting the Heart of the Shires Shopping Village, my wife and I drove her BMW to Noborough Farm Shop down Weedon Road (she was driving). This is a narrow lane with significant potholes on either side, making it impossible to pass vehicles travelling in the other direction without hitting them. The use of this road by large farm vehicles seems to have made the potholes much worse lately. On the way back to the A5 we avoided an oncoming vehicle and hit pothole (see photo - no 6). the pronounce 'lip' and depth of the pothole circa 75mm, burst the near offside tyre - a Bridgstone BMW approved run flat. The AA were called and confirmed the side wall was damaged beyond repair. We have since had another tyre fitted - a cheaper mid-range run flat (Churchill RFT 93WXL @ £90), simply because of the state of the roads in general ie I'm not paying nearly £200 for another Bridgestone tyre when this could happen again! Can you please confirm if there is a means of placing a claim (obviously for the cheaper tyre now fitted)? Thank you in anticipation. PS the gentleman I spoke to at WNC just now was extremely helpful.
