Reported via desktop in the Weeds category by Nigel Galletly - Chair CW&E PC at 10:45, Friday 23 June 2023
Sent to Northamptonshire Highways less than a minute later. ref: 4707728.
I have been informed by yourselves that Highways cannot take action over this weed infested area as 'it is on Privat land' - This is nonsense - It was constructed as a balancing pond by Hs2 (Fusion JV) and has since passed to WNC Highways as of last June (2022) since when they have performed NO maintenance. Please have this looked at promptly.

Response from Highways was that this is now in hand and will be actioned within the next 26 weeks. Planning for it to be maintained over a summer growth schedule is what's required.

WNC Highways have strimmed the area but large areas are still weed infested and I have heard nothing about any ongoing maintenance. It requires reseeding so it can be mowed - which the parish council would be happy to take on if it was suitably prepared.
