Blocked drains in Berrywood road causing flooding when raining

Reported via desktop in the Blocked/Damaged category anonymously at 11:12, Friday 30 June 2023

Sent to Northamptonshire Highways less than a minute later. ref: 4734625.

The drains from the junction of Ryeland Road down to Main Road are blocked and every time it rains there is a small river flowing down Berrywood road. This is causing pedestrians to be splashed by passing vehicles, who have no room to manoeuvre when traffic is both sides of the road. Looking at the drains when it is dry and you can see they are blocked approx 2 inches below the drain grating. Both sides of Berrywood road are blocked but the worst blocked drains are on the side nearest the allotments

  • Waterfall drain pictured at roundabout/ junction of Ryeland Road / Berrywood Road is overflowing every time it rains even a small rainfall this causes a small river flowing down Berrywood road, this also continues long after the rain has passed. Causing vehicles to verve into the centre of the road to avoid the said running river. Pictured/Video 2/nov/23 9am long after the rain has passed
