Large Pothole Appeared
Sent to Northamptonshire Highways less than a minute later. ref: 5058733.
A large and deep.potholw has appeared on the LHS of the carriageway heading towards Bugbrooke immediately as you come over the bridge with the long standing "temporary" traffic lights.
With traffic waiting at the traffic lights (to come over the bridge from the opposite direction) it is very difficult to miss this - and in the dark you might not even see it until you hit it!!

I have hit this Pot Hole on evening of Wednesday 18th October 2023. It was raining and dark and this part of the road was full of water. i had to drive through it as traffic was waiting to go over the rail bridge going away from Bugbrooke. I could not see the hole within the flood.
I have ripped the tyre wall of my car, damaged the alloy.
Ive had Volvo Assist out to check the tyre and after their analysis [which was to put air in and see all the holes in the tyre wall] they agree that the tyre wall had been ripped.
I returned the next night in the dark to take photos but the ditch was still full of water. Photos are from this morning when i also returned but still full of water. I plan to get photos as soon as water recedes.
There is pome photo from Friday afternoon one rain had subsided a little, which shows the hole but still full of water.
I plan to call the insurance number quoted above or to put in a claim. I still have an outstanding claim for £1100 damage from 6 months ago from my other car.
Im really angry these things happen and its down to the diligent motorist to have to take time off work, unpaid, and to pay a lot of money to fix cars from road damage, on a road which is made worse daily by very heavy lorries.
