Fatal road accident will happen stop passing it to bt
Reported via desktop in the Loose / Raised/Sunken category anonymously at 20:35, Friday 17 November 2023
Sent to Northamptonshire Highways less than a minute later. ref: 5225586.
There is a loose manhole cover on A5 near John's Motors everytime a vehicle goes over it there is an extremely loud bang which is causing noise pollution There is also a serious issue of fatalities and serious road accident if this manhole cover comes loose or collapses. This has been reported many times but has been passed off saying that it is bts cover . ABSOLUTE PATHETIC this needs sorting as an emergency and at least some temporary lights at location to lower speed of vehicles whilst we all sit and wait for bt to arrive

Further to this report this noise from the cover being run over is reaching my house all through the night which is located three fields away across the village. This morning at the junction I saw several vehicles who are obviously aware of the issue driving around it to avoid running over it but in doing so running into or against traffic. Again an accident waiting to happen.
