Sent to Northamptonshire Highways less than a minute later. ref: 5296544.

It’s been 51 days after the 28 days informing access would be improved, it comes as no surprise that nothing has been done and Kier have yet again closed a report within going back to inspect the issue has been resolved, I will give you 5 days for a meaningful answer of the next steps to resolve this now overdue PRoW issue before raising a complaint with NNC on Kier’s inability to action reports and as informed by Cllr Matt Binley raise these issues with my local Parish councillor to pursue

  • Investigation: Ongoing - We can confirm that further to your previous report ref: 4989843, a site visited was carried on the 18/09/2023. Following this, a letter was then sent to the landowner on the 20/09/2023 requesting improvement works to be undertaken. Contact was made with the landowner on the 19/10/2023. The site was re-visited on the 20/10/2023 and we can confirm that access along the path at this time was open and fully accessible.
    We will carry out another site visit to check the access is clear and not obstructed.

  • Thanks for the reply, firstly in both fields there are sheep/rams, the first obstruction is a fence with wire mesh with no gate or stile leading to the tennis court, the second obstruction on the access from the main field is a padlocked gate with no access and then obstructions behind the gate, I would presume to keep the sheep/rams enclosed. Can you update me with the improvements you saw on your site visit please?

  • Investigation: Ongoing - We can confirm that the obstructions were removed at the time of the re-visit. The path passes through a gate adjacent to the tennis courts, no stile is required at this location. The padlock on the gate and the metal hurdles behind this gate had been completely removed at time of the re-visit.

  • Investigation: Completed (Defect Found), Defect Repair: Not Started - Further to your previous response, we can confirm that works have been instructed for a kissing gate to be installed at this location. All gates along this route are open/unlocked and no sheep hurdles are obstructing the path.
